Welcome to the VFC home page of the
"26 Reasons To Walk!"

Vasculitis Foundation Canada is proud to bring this incredible annual walk event to you, for the tenth time as well as our 20th picnic. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities, including virtual walkers to become part of our VFC community and raise funds to help us strengthen awareness, so that we can increase vasculitis research and education of patients, family members, friends and the medical community.

Vasculitis is a family of about 26 separate, but unrelated diseases within the larger family of about 115 arthritic diseases.  Vasculitic diseases are rare and can affect people of all ages, gender and ethnicity; they are neither contagious nor hereditary.  Vasculitis is considered an autoimmune disease, creating inflammation of the blood vessel walls, thereby reducing the blood supply and causing tissue and organ damage, which can lead to death.

When you participate in our annual walks, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, shows loved ones living with Vasculitis that they are not alone.  We encourage interested participants to REGISTER NOW, and fundraise in order to contribute to our cause and raise awareness.
